When Romero is included in the will of an eccentric customer, he and Shawn go to the reading where the evening grows increasingly strange—and dark—as the participants are forced to reenact the plot of the man’s favorite movie.

The roads are flooded, the phones are down and the power is out...and Shawn is trapped with a murderer. As Shawn tries to figure out who it is, he learns everyone invited to the will’s reading has secrets and motives for wanting to eliminate the competition for Billy Deacon’s estate, and everyone’s a suspect...including him.

Also includes the bonus story: The Thing on the Ceiling. A man feels the world is crushing him down and something on the ceiling is watching him. Why?

The finale to The House That Vincent Built. The shooter has been unmasked and their reasons revealed, but one mystery remains: what was Billy Deacon’s reason behind the strange game for his inheritance, and what does it have to do with Romero?

Another part of Hollywood’s Golden Era is about to put to rest and a secret to come to light. As Shawn is determined to uncover the mystery of a murdered actress, Romero is drawn into a bittersweet memory. But when the truth is finally revealed, will Shawn be buried along with the past?

Issue #14

His mother’s new treasure leads to a meeting between LA teen Shawn Wilcocks and a being locked away for five hundred years. Shawn’s other monster friends are suspicious of the newcomer, but when bizarre circumstances put his family in danger Shawn will have to determine if his new ‘friend’ will help him...or if they’re the foe responsible.

Shawn is trapped in his home and his family is trying to kill him. As he tries to discover the source of his terrifying circumstances, he’s forced to rely on his new friend for help: a fire spirit of dubious morals who could just as easily be the cause of the danger.
